100 tons of the Samuel Pearman bridge in Charleston, SC falls into Town Creek on Tuesday, 15 November 2005. The Pearman Bridge, built in 1966, was replaced this year by the new Arthur Ravenel bridge linking Charleston with Mount Pleasant.
Alice and I watched the demolition from the parking garage by the Imax theater, a half mile from the bridge.
