The Chinese Zodiac identifies every year with one of twelve animals, and people born in that year are thought to possess similar attributes. 2007 is the Year of the Boar, and people born under this sign are believed to possess these characteristics:
"Pure of heart, Boar people are generous and kind. Full of inner strength and courage, they can take on any task. A friend who listens, the Boar is sincere and trustworthy. They are driven by their passion for life."
The Toshibi celebration, in mid January, recognizes people born in a year of the boar in 1947 or earlier. Because in Japan and in China, people are thought to be a year old at birth, the Boar people recognized on January 14th will turn 61, 73, 85 or 97 in 2007.
